🐐 Cheese Farm Tour & Tasting @ Diaseli Traditional Cheese Factory
Meet the goats, learn the craft, and enjoy tastings with local honey, bread, and wine.

Thursday, September 3 – Vow Renewal Day 💍

Accommodations
We’ll be staying at On the Rocks Villa,* located on the island of Ios, perched above the sea with sweeping views, sunset terraces, and breezy island elegance. Expect slow mornings, salty air, shared meals, and a celebration under the stars.
Ios, Greece is a sun-drenched Cycladic island, known for its dazzling blue waters, whitewashed villages, and peaceful charm. Unlike its neighbors Ios balances vibrant tradition with a tranquil soul.
We can’t wait to share it with you!
*Price/room will be determined by group size, based on 4 night minimum, estimated between $200 – $250/night.
What Should I Pack?
Essentials:
- Passport (valid at least 6 months from travel date)
- Light, breathable layers
- Comfortable walking sandals
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- One dressy outfit for the vow renewal (island formal = light linen or flowy dresses)
- Swimwear + cover-up
- Reusable water bottle
Optional but Smart:
- Travel plug adapter (Greece uses Type C & F plugs)
- Personal meds + motion sickness pills (if you’re ferrying)
- Lightweight beach tote or backpack
- Scarf or shawl (for sun or breeze)
- A small gift if you plan to explore local villages or shops – Greek hospitality (‘philoxenia’) is often met with kindness and reciprocity, even a small postcard or trinket from home.
FAQs + Travel Tips
✈️ Getting There:
- Fly into Athens (ATH) or Santorini (JTR)
- There’s no flight option to Ios
- From Athens: High-speed ferry (3.5–5 hrs) from Piraeus to Ios
- Typically 2 sailings in the morning & 1 sailing in the afternoon
- From Santorini: Quick ferry (~45 minutes) to Ios
- Typically 6-8 sailings per day
We’ll help coordinate group transport options closer to the date
💶 Currency:
Euros. Credit cards accepted widely, but cash is useful in small tavernas.
☀️ Weather:
Expect warm, sunny days (mid 80s °F) and cooler evenings. Ideal for sunset dinners and beach walks.
Connectivity:
Cell coverage is strong, WiFi is available at the villa. Consider enabling an international plan or buying a Greek SIM.
